BREAKING: COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF AWGU LOCAL AREA YOUTH MOVEMENT MEETING HELD ON JULY 28TH 2024 AFTER AN EXTENSIVE DELIBERATION
1. Ahead of the August 11th Awgu PDP primaries polls, a non political and cultural union of Awgu people, the Awgu LGA Youth Movement has endorsed Hon. Ikenna Okolie Basil for Chairman, Awgu LGA.
2. This is even as we described him as the only candidate that possesses the capacity to bring to an end, the insecurity , hunger and unemployment ravaging Awgu Local Government Area.
3. Hon. Ikenna Basil Okolie is humble, charitable, and calm, a resolute leader with outstanding qualities, possessing a heart as genuine as gold. He dedicates himself to serving others altruistically, showing unwavering commitment to helping without expecting anything in exchange.
4. Hon. Ikenna Basil Okolie possesses the attributes and ability necessary to lead Awgu towards prosperity.
"Remember, the efforts worth making are worth the time and energy put into them."
5. Awgu Local Government Area is in need of a candidate who is appealing and approachable, who is positively received by the majority of Ndi Awgu Local Government Area. Let's provide him with an opportunity and discover a new Awgu.
6. Awgu LGA Youth Movement which our membership and branches is scattered across countries of the world described as alarming the level of unemployment in the area as part of their reasons for the endorsement of Hon. Ikenna Basil Okolie, stressing that Ikenna as a private man has empowered a good number of Awgu people in so many ways. Most especially the youths of Awgu LGA . Hence the sky would be his starting point in job creation if elected the Awgu LGA Chairman because of his antecedents in the private sector.
7. Hon. Ikenna Basil Okolie is the only candidate whose manifesto in line with the aspirations and expectations of Awgu Local Government Youths, Awgu LGA Youth Movement is calling on Awgu PDP stakeholders and the people of Awgu to look beyond selfish interest and vote a person with the capacity to lead Awgu to that promised land in the forthcoming election.
8. We the Awgu Local Government Area Youth Movement will mobilize Awgu citizens towards the victory of Hon. Ikenna Okolie in the forthcoming PDP primaries and Awgu Local Government Area elections poll hopining that no stone will be left unturned.
9. The stakeholders of Awgu and the residents have long respected the rotational system in place, which now dictates that Mbanabo South should step up to fill the vacant position in the Awgu Local Government Area. With Mbanabo North currently holding key positions, Hon. Ikenna Basil Okolie, hailing from Mbanabo South, is well-suited to serve as the local government Chairman.
